SomSaaS SMS Technology ("we") operates the SomSaaS SMS platform. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your choices. We act as a processor for the school data each school enters, and as a controller for account and billing information.

1. Information we collect

• Account data: school name, contact details, and the registering user's name, email, and password (stored hashed).
• School records: data your school enters about students, staff, parents, academics, finance, and related records.
• Usage data: log information such as actions taken, timestamps, and device/browser details, used to operate and secure the Service.

2. How we use information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• To authenticate users and keep each school's data isolated from others.
• To process subscriptions and communicate about your account.
• To detect, prevent, and address security or technical issues.

3. Children's data

The Service stores records about students, who may be minors. Schools are responsible for obtaining any consents required under applicable law for entering and processing student data. We process this data only to provide the Service to the school.

4. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers that help us run the platform (for example, hosting), under appropriate confidentiality obligations, or where required by law.

5. Data retention and deletion

We retain school data for as long as the school's account is active. On termination, data is available for export for a reasonable period and then deleted, subject to legal retention requirements.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including per-school data isolation, access controls, and encryption of credentials. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Schools can manage most records directly in the platform; for other requests, contact us.
